Tom Hanks proved to be one of America’s classiest actors as he exited the screening for The Great Buck Howard in New York City. Tom spoke to fans and was one of the most friendly actors in all of our experiences. As Mr. Hanks chatted, TopPix Autographs was part of the immense signing frenzy, we were lucky enough to come out with multiple Tom Hanks signed photos.
Tom talked with fans about the controversy surrounding shooting scenes inside the Vatican in his upcoming flick, Angels & Demons. Tom also made one 4th grade class at Carrollton Elementary in Saginaw, Michigan especially happy as he posed for a picture with one lucky student’s Flat Stanley. Tom also signed the paper doll, making his good deed even more special.
Tom even commented on our photo already signed by famed director, Ron Howard. TopPix Autographs was lucky enough to get several photos signed by Ron Howard as he exited a taping of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”
The stars of Watchmenmade the rounds of promotion in New York City, and TopPix Autographs was there too!
Three of the male leads, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Patrick Wilson, & Billy Crudup made an appearance on “Good Morning America” one morning. Each of the stars signed up a storm for autographs seekers waiting in the bitter cold. Check out the videos and signed photos below:
Billy Crudup signed away, making sure he took the time to make an eye-contact connection with each waiting fan.
Not to be outdone by the men, a couple of the female Watchmen stars also appeared in New York City. Carla Gugino talked about her role in the movie on “Live with Regis & Kelly.” Carla was nice enough to get out of her vehicle to sign for fans.
Malin Akerman was a smiling sweetheart as she signed autographs. One fan must have especially loved Watchmen as they clapped the entire time Malin was signing.
“The Late Show with David Letterman” is a tough place to get autographs. So far, TopPix Autographs has done remarkably well in 2009 and felt it was time to prepare a Letterman-style Top Ten list of our own!
Top Ten 2009 “Late Show” Autographs
10. Disgraced Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich. Why was he even signing autographs? Who knows…? But we did get him to sign…basically because we can never let an autograph opportunity pass us by!
9. Former New York Yankees manager and current Los Angeles Dodgers manager, Joe Torre. Although New Yorkers have strong feelings regarding Torre, he was kind enough to sign after his appearance on the show.
8. Super Bowl XLIII Champion and Pittsburgh Steeler, Ben Roethlisberger didn’t sign much after his appearance, but somehow TopPix Autographs was in the right spot and snagged one of Ben’s squiggles.
7. Billy Crystal comes in at #7. Billy was nice and gives a fantastic autograph. We love Billy!
6. Star of Pink Panther 2, Steve Martinwas a pleasure as he stopped and signed for quite awhile for us. We especially loves Steve’s hat!
5. Kate Hudson braved the cold weather in a teeny-tiny dress when she signed following her segment.
4. Spanish seductress, Salma Hayek, was quite picky about what she signed, but eventually we were able to present a photo or two that met Salma’s standards.
3. Growing up before our eyes is not-so-little Dakota Fanning. Dakota was a dream as she made sure everyone got an autograph. This young lady is an example for all young stars around. Always gracious and kind!
2. The #2 spot goes to one of Hollywood’s greats…Dustin Hoffman. Dustin was a delight…even ignoring his pushy publicist who kept telling everyone that Dustin was doing his “last one!” We have to love a man who ignores his publicist!
1. And the #1 autograph obtained at “The Late Show with David Letterman” goes to….KATE WINSLET!! Kate is this year’s golden girl, winning just about every award that comes her way. We would have to agree with most of the movie world, because we adored both of Kate’s award-winning movies, The Reader and Revolutionary Road.
TopPix Autographs took our show on the road to Park City, Utah for the 2009 Sundance Film Festival! Here are the video accounts of some of the celebrities we were able to obtain autographs from during the festival. Enjoy!
One of America’s most beloved actors, Kevin Bacon was gracious and kind, as usual, signing autographs for fans waiting at Park City’s celebrity hot-spot, the ski lift.
Another famous Kevin…as in Kevin Spacey…also popped up at the festival. Kevin stopped and signed on his way out of a photoshoot for his new movie, Shrink.
A-List star of Mamma Mia and former James Bond, Pierce Brosnanwas kind enough to sign autographs while he made his way up Main Street.
Michelle Trachtenberg, who has appeared in the television shows “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Gossip Girl,” signed autographs near the ski lift on Park City’s famed Main Street.
Ghost Town star Tea Leoni was a little surprised to be spotted by photographers, but still took the time to sign for a few waiting fans.
With his trademark cigarette and hair, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, was spotted hitting a couple of the gift lounges for Sundance Film Festival attendees, found around Park City. Slash must have been in an excellent mood, because he had no problem signing away for us.
Star of our absolute favorite TV show, “The Office,” John Krasinski was one of the most friendly and approachable celebrities of the festival. John attended the festival for the premiere of his directorial debut of Conversations with Hideous Men.
Madagascar star Chris Rock spent some time walking around Park City and signing autographs along the way.
Funnyman Jamie Kennedy signed and chatted with TopPix Autographs as he made his way to the Style Lounge gifting lounge. Jamie cracked us up while talking about his new movie Finding Bliss.

Along with Josh Brolin, other members of the cast signed autographs for TopPix Autographs. Check out the videos below to see all the W. action.
Thandie Newton, who plays Condeleeza Rice signs:
James Cromwell, who plays George Herbert Walker Bush, was happy to stop for fans as well:
Madonna is possibly the most difficult autograph to obtain and almost never signs. TopPix Autographs was one of the lucky few who were able to come away from the premiere of Filth and Wisdom, Madonna’s directorial debut, with an autograph (we actually got 2)!
Upon arriving at the Sunshine Cinemas, Madonna signed a couple of autographs as the flashbulbs of waiting photographers lit up the evening sky.
Check out the video below to see the chaotic scene as TopPix Autographs nabs one of the toughest autographs around!
Following the premiere, Madonna attended the after-party at the Thompson Hotel, and TopPix Autographs was lucky enough to score ANOTHER autograph from Madonna.
Russell Crowe was eccentrically kind, as he had his security team line up autograph seekers at his New York City hotel. After all were lined up the way Mr. Crowe wished, he came out and signed for everyone (including the team from TopPix Autographs, of course).
Check out the video below to see Russell signing and answering a question about working with his Body of Lies co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio.
